This 15thC reproduction medieval eating knife is based on a River Thames find but is typical for a lot of European countries too. Medieval eating knives were often paired with a pricker to make an 'eating set'.
In this case the knife and pricker are fashionably small. Eating irons were often quite dainty and this set reflects that taste perfectly – big enough to use comfortably, small enough to appear mannered.
The sheath is strong double layer naturally tanned leather and is moulded to fit the irons perfectly.
Note the set is available with a bone or horn handle, the blades are sharp and the point on the pricker is very pointy!
