Large 14thC and 15thC bollock pouch. This is a very large pouch. Big enough to fit a large variety of items at the same time. Loops so that you can suspend it from your belt. Decorative lashing and incised decoration to the front and a latten (brass) buckle.
Medieval people didn’t have pockets in their clothing so they wore belt pouches often called at the time pockets and used them to carry all their daily essentials. Whether you are a living history purist or you like to carry your car keys, mobile phone and some loose change, these will suit.
Based a composite of examples from the amazing book 'Purses in Pieces' by Olaf Goubitz.
Width of pouch 29cm/11.5 inches
Height of pouch (excluding belt loop) 16cm/6.25 inches
Opening width 25cm/9.75 inches
Will suit belts up to 5cm/1.75 inches
Please note: The colours may vary in tone from the photos here. Each skin of leather is different and reacts differently to the dye so they may be darker or lighter in tone
