Viking langseax knives in a variety of lengths from what we would consider daggers, all the way up to short sword length like the Battersea seax. This is definitely in the longer category and based on Scandinavian examples; these examples are often known as war knives. The knife comes with a tough veg tan leather scabbard in brown and edged with copper alloy fittings
The blade is forged from EN45 carbon steel and the handle is made from walnut and brass.
The knife comes sharp to give a reasonable cutting edge, but final honing if required, is to be by the customer.
IMPORTANT Keep the blade oiled and out of the sheath if being stored for extended periods.
