This 14th (Circa 1300) medieval bollock dagger is based on a very early bollock dagger from Scandinavia and has the distinctive double arches under the balls.
The wooden grip of the bollock dagger has two scalloped arches at the base of the blade and a crimped and engraved brass pommel cap.
The blade is a strong single edge with a faceted false edge.
The double layer veg tan leather sheath is decorated with incised patterns and finished with a fabricated brass chape.
Edge sharpness
Semi-Sharp is 'butter knife sharp'; it has a very fine flat on the edge
Sharp has been ground to give a reasonable edge, but final honing, if required, is by the customer.
