This medieval eating knife is based on River Thames finds and is a very typical style for most of Europe.
The handle scales are bone, with brass and copper rivets and a large hollow rivet at the rear with brass bolsters.
The double layer veg tan leather sheath is decorated with incised and punched patterns.
