A classic medieval sword from the 13th and 14thC using a type XVI blade. These blades are absolutely cutting blades as most of the target they were facing could be attacked with a cut, but the sharper point when compared to earlier swords, shows that the improved plate and mail defences are now on the target list.
Aesthetically, the wheel pommel and prominent tang button combined with a deceptively simple guard of octagonal section, make this plain at first glance but subtly but classically styled.
Built for cutting, but with a relatively long 79cm blade and sharp point, this is a formidable sword.
Comes with a fantastic wood cored scabbard and period accurate belts.
Edge sharpness
Semi-Sharp is 'butter knife sharp'; it has a very fine flat on the edge. Sharp has been ground to give a reasonable cutting edge, but final honing, if required, is by the customer.

Overall length 96cm/38”
Grip length 9cm/3.75”
Weight 1050g/2.3lbs
