This historical eating knife was a common form in the second half of the 16thC and all the way through the 17thC and so is perfect for Tudor and Stewart era reenactment and living history.

The method of construction changed from a 'scale tang' to a 'whittle tang' and helps to create this distinctive shape.

NB scabbards are now in plain vegtan leather - no pattern.
