Medieval people needed belts for hanging pouches, knives, swords, daggers and other oddments. Although hose/trousers were usually held up with points (strings laced to an upper body garment), they are also darn handy for that too.
Everybody, of every age and gender needs a belt and these 13th-16thC ones follow the medieval fashion for dress belts of being quite thin by modern standards at around 3/4"/20mm wide.
Fitted with a latten (brass) buckle and plate with a steel pin and a latten strap end and decorated with an embossed pattern along its full length and made from naturally tanned leather - Will suit our belt pouches perfectly.
The belts are fashionably long so that they can be looped and knotted as all medieval people seemed to do and as is shown in historical pictures (scroll to see our model Tod demonstrating).
They do not come with holes so you can punch it to exactly suit you and will fit from 28"/71cm to 44"/112cm, still allowing for the fashionable 'dangle'.
If you need a revolving hole punch, and they are very handy, they are available from ebay or craft shops for £10/$10/10Euro or less.
