The field archers pick is an invaluable tool for both simple knife cutting tasks and more importantly extracting and levering out arrows from trees and logs. The blade is short at 11.5cm/4.5” and has an obtuse point so does not look too ‘weapon like’. Though if you are a bit more ‘medieval’ we also sell a bollock dagger version.
The blade is 7mm thick and fitted with a wide tang into an ash grip with a steel pommel cap, it is certainly tough enough to help extract arrows by levering or even pounding on the pommel with a handy log or mallet.
Comes with a naturally tanned leather sheath fitted with a hanging loop and a tying thong.
Edge sharpness
Knife comes semi-sharp which means 'butter knife sharp' and it has a very fine flat on the edge.
