11-14thC Medieval Penknife. Penknives like this are often seen in manuscript pictures and formed the inspiration for this piece.
Because the penknife is of an early type it uses whittle tang construction and the front of the ash wood handle is reinforced with a horn bolster.
Comes with a naturally tanned double layer leather sheath.
