This Medieval reproduction piece is classic 14thC to early 15thC mid status eating knife and based on a multitude of pieces from the River Thames. The scale tang is fixed with more rivets than it needs and the bolsters are finely made, but overall the knife is not too fancy, making it a mid status Medieval knife, so the sort of piece worn with pride by a master craftsman, merchant or even well to do yeoman.
The sheath is strong double layer naturally tanned leather and decorated with a little simple incised decoration.
Note the knife is sharpened and is available with a wood, bone or horn handle.
