This style of medieval eating knife was popular for a long period from around 1250 to 1550 and was often found in the trading areas of the channel and North Sea.
The carbon steel blade is stamped with a makers mark and is fitted with brass handle scales. This is a lovely and neat lower middle class or aspiring peasant eating knife.
The scabbard has carved decoration and is finished with a ‘tabbed’ hanging point, which requires a little extra care when inserting the knife. £34
